about
This is my first single, and I'm so so so so proud of it! It was inspired by years of binging on bands like Nirvana, The Pixies, Hole, Blondie, Greenday, and The Undertones, as well as more recent artists such as Halsey, The Wrecks, The Hubbards, Taylor Swift and Olivia Rodrigo. Although my influences and tastes might make me sound like I'm on my way to creating a musical Frankenstein's monster, I guarantee you that this song is a banger (without the monster mash, of course)
lyrics
Verse 1
You love your fucking Fender more than you could ever love me
And I wish that I could stroke your ego, but I don't have the energy
And you think you're so important, man you're just so self-absorbed and
I don't think I want you anymore
Chorus
So I'm thinking of ending things
I'm thinking of ending things
I'm thinking of ending things
With you
With you
Verse 2
You always say you're working so hard, but what have you done?
And you think that the day is over, but it's only the afternoon
And you hate the way I dress but I'm not here just to impress ya
The gig is up and you know I know you know
Chorus
That I'm thinking of ending things
I'm thinking of ending things
I'm thinking of ending things
With you
With you
Bridge
Maybe your songs would sound better if you spent less time playing me
But I know there's nothing you love more than pulling at my strings
So I'm thinking, I'm thinking, I'm thinking, I'm thinking
I'm thinking, I'm thinking, I'm thinking I'm thinking
I'm thinking, I'm thinking, I'm thinking, I'm thinking
I'm thinking
Chorus
That I'm thinking of ending things
I'm thinking of ending things
I'm thinking of ending things
I'm thinking of ending things
I'm thinking of ending things
I'm thinking of ending things
With you
